HOW DOES THE VORTEX WORK?
The vortex consists of a walking bridge which is completely surrounded by a large cylinder, which functions as a tunnel. You’ll feel like you are walking through space, because the cylinder rotates quickly and is decorated with illuminated stars and planets. By using lights and mirrors cleverly, it seems like the tunnel is never-ending, which causes the eyes to not have a fixed orientation point. This causes the question: is the bridge spinning or is the cylinder spinning? The reality of course is that the bridge which you are walking on is very stable.
If you want to be challenged some more you could try to stand in the middle of the Vortex on one leg, without holding on to the railing. How long can you stand right up?
